We are seeking a motivated Road Design Engineer to support the delivery of road and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in road geometric design, including alignments, grading, intersections, and parking layouts, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Gulf project experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed road design drawings.
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments, road profiles, cross-sections, and grading.
- Develop road layouts, intersections, roundabouts, parking areas, and access roads.
- Coordinate with traffic, drainage, utilities, and other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare quantity take-offs (BOQ) and technical reports.
- Ensure designs comply with international standards such as AASHTO, RTA, DM, MOT, or other applicable authority requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate with clients and project managers.
- Deliver high-quality work within project schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in Gulf projects (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or Oman).
- 3–6 years of experience in Road Design within an engineering consultancy.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Experience with Vehicle Tracking/AutoTURN for swept path analysis.
- Good knowledge of road geometric design, grading, earthworks, and parking design.
- Familiarity with international road design standards (AASHTO, RTA, MOT, or equivalent).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
