Responsibilities
- Design steel components for large-scale projects, including analysing survey reports, zoning restrictions, and client requirements to ensure specifications meet project goals
- Review blueprints, plans to verify the structural integrity of materials and designs, perform complex calculations and use modelling methods to ensure correct results
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the stability and safety of steel structures.
- Collaborate with architects and other Discipline engineers to develop project plans and specifications. Review and approve detailed construction drawings and blueprints
- Prepare reports, designs, and drawings. Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses. Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately. Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
- Possess a strong knowledge of construction methods and regulations, excellent mathematical and communication skills, attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset.
- Use Revit and other drafting software programs to create 2D design documents and 3D models for individual components and overall structural plans according to client needs and project requirements for deliverables.
- Ability to work beyond regular duty hours whenever project status requires.
Requirements
• +6 years of experience, preferably with GCC experience.
• Full awareness of international design codes and UAE local regulations & requirements for steel structures.
• Excellent skills in operating structural analysis software specially STAAD, Idea Statica ,ETABS, SAP, & PROKON
• Excellent skills in Revit Modelling.
