Overview
The Project Engineer (Structural) is responsible for supporting the design, coordination, and delivery of structural engineering projects. Success in this role will be measured by adherence to project deadlines, compliance with codes and standards, and effective collaboration with stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring solutions meet client requirements, standards, budgets, and project goals.
- Provide creative direction and mentorship to the structural team.
- Develop and review drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with company standards, building codes and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of structural principles, construction techniques, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with client/operator procedures and standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of design documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support senior engineers with local authority submissions and QA/QC improvements.
- Ensure construction drawings are fully coordinated with sub-consultants prior to submission.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain constant communication with project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in Structural design software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Prokon, SP-Column.
- Proficiency in BIM programs (preferably Revit).
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building codes, and local authority requirements.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Cooperative team player with leadership potential.
