Overview
The Project Engineer – ELV is responsible for supporting the design, coordination, and implementation of ICT and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across projects. This role ensures compliance with local and international standards, assists in cross-disciplinary coordination, and contributes to delivering efficient, accurate, and reliable solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and integration of ICT/ELV systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, security, audiovisual, BMS, and fire alarm systems.
- Apply local and international standards relevant to ICT/ELV systems, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare schematic diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation for ICT/ELV systems.
- Conduct design calculations and support quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy of deliverables.
- Review drawing packages and coordinate with senior engineers before submission.
- Work with BIM teams to update REVIT models and resolve coordination issues.
- Provide technical responses to client queries and reviewer comments under guidance of senior engineers.
- Support commissioning and handover activities, ensuring systems meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with MEP, Structural, and Fire & Life Safety disciplines to ensure proper integration of ICT/ELV systems.
- Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, and vendors to reflect requirements in design packages.
- Support QA/QC processes by identifying potential issues and suggesting improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication & Electronics Engineering.
- 6–9 years’ experience in ICT/ELV design and engineering.
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and calculation spreadsheets.
- Ability to prepare clear technical reports and documentation.
