The BIM Infrastructure Engineer supports infrastructure design projects through effective model coordination, data management, and BIM process implementation. This role focuses on ensuring smooth collaboration between disciplines, maintaining model accuracy, and managing project information across a Common Data Environment (CDE). Strong skills in Civil 3D, coordination workflows, and adherence to ISO 19650 standards are essential.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models (Civil, Structural, MEP, Landscape) to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Detect, track, and resolve clashes using Navisworks Manage.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure timely model updates and integration.
- Support project teams in understanding and complying with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Develop and manage Civil 3D models for roads, utilities, grading, and site infrastructure.
- Import survey data, surfaces, alignments, and utilities into coordinated project models.
- Ensure Civil 3D models align with Revit/other discipline models.
- Manage documentation and model exchange workflows within the Common Data Environment (CDE) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360.
- Apply ISO 19650 naming, approval workflows, and information delivery standards.
- Assist in preparing and updating project BEPs, MIDPs, TIDPs, and other BIM-related documents.
- Conduct model audits to ensure compliance with project standards and LOD requirements.
- Maintain template consistency, coordinate file structures, and check data integrity.
- Provide BIM support to project teams, including troubleshooting Civil 3D and ACC workflows.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and produce weekly Navisworks clash reports.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in BIM, preferably in infrastructure or civil works.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (must-have).
- Experience with Navisworks Manage (clash detection).
- Working knowledge of Revit for coordination (not necessarily modeling).
- Familiarity with ACC/BIM 360, CDE workflows, and ISO 19650 standards.
- Understanding of BEP creation and implementation.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure design and survey data.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary design teams.

- BIM Level 2 or ISO 19650 training
