STUDIOI is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented BIM Structural Draftsman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate, fully coordinated 3D Revit structural models in alignment with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and applicable project standards. This role involves collaborating closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure structural designs are precisely modeled, clearly documented, and ready for construction at LOD 350. The Structural Draftsman will support the engineering team by translating design intent into high-quality technical drawings and BIM documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop structural design drawings—including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed views—using Revit and AutoCAD in compliance with the BEP and project requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain 3D BIM models for various building types and structural systems.
- Work collaboratively with structural engineers to ensure all drawings meet structural integrity requirements, safety codes, and project specifications.
- Follow established BIM documentation workflows and ensure proper file organization and management according to company BIM protocols.
- Identify and resolve drawing inconsistencies, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively with architectural and MEP teams to maintain alignment across disciplines.
- Deliver models and drawings within required timelines, supporting project schedules and milestones.
- Stay current with the latest Revit features, BIM standards, and industry’s best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for structural drafting and modeling.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, including reinforced concrete, steel, and precast elements.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, industry standards, and construction practices.
- Experience with Navisworks and BIM collaboration platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, markups, and design concepts, translating them into accurate technical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under project deadlines.
- Experience with BIM workflows, clash coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
