We are seeking a Senior Fire Life Safety (FLS) Specialist with a minimum of 7 years of solid, hands-on experience in the field. This role is open to both architects and engineers who have a deep understanding of fire safety design and regional code compliance.
The selected candidate will work independently and will be responsible for reviewing FLS reports submitted by external consultants, as well as collaborating closely with our in-house design teams to ensure that all architectural and engineering designs meet fire and life safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Independently review and assess Fire Life Safety reports and documentation submitted by external consultants.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to design teams on FLS requirements and ensure integration into architectural and MEP designs.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international fire codes (e.g., NFPA, UAE Fire Code, Saudi Building Code, Egyptian Code).
- Coordinate with civil defense and other regulatory authorities for approvals and inspections.
- Support the design team with FLS-related input throughout all project phases.
- Stay current with updates in fire safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Fire Life Safety design, review, and code compliance.
- Strong knowledge of regional and international fire codes and standards.
- Experience working on projects in UAE, KSA, or Egypt is essential.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
- Civil Defense accreditation in UAE or KSA is a strong advantage.
