STUDIOI is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Architect to join our team in Sarajevo. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting international projects. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, supporting design development and technical documentation from concept through to completion. The role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a dynamic, design-led environment while working on diverse and impactful assignments.
Responsibilities
- Independently leading and overseeing projects from concept to completion
- Coordinating design with engineers, contractors, and other professionals
- Communicating with clients, presenting design proposals, and addressing their needs
- Preparing, reviewing, and supervising technical documentation (drawings, specifications)
- Mentoring and guiding junior architects
- Ensuring designs comply with local codes and regulations (Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi)
- Managing resources and creating weekly team schedules
- Supervising works and coordinating with external teams on-site
- Integrating innovation and sustainability into designs
- Preparing and presenting reports to clients and regulatory bodies
- Regular participation in weekly lectures
- Aligning design with budget and timelines
- Multitasking — managing two projects simultaneously
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture
- 9–12 years of experience in the field
- Advanced proficiency in BIM software, especially Revit; AutoCAD and SketchUp are a plus
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with consultants, engineers, and architects
- Experience in leading architectural projects from concept to execution
- A strong portfolio of completed projects highlighting leadership in design, innovation, and delivery
- Detailed knowledge of construction drawings and technical documentation
- Ability to incorporate subcontractor requirements into project drawings
- Monitoring and ensuring smooth approval processes with relevant authorities
- Analytical and critical thinking skills for solving design challenges and making decisions under pressure
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
